Lab Group Introduction

As part of our commitment to the SDGs, we are conducting research on tribology technology focusing on visualization of lubrication conditions and the relationship between material surfaces, lubricants, and sliding properties to improve the performance of mechanical elements used in construction machinery, such as hydraulic equipment (hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, etc.), gears, and seals.

Performance Improvement of Hydraulic Components for Electrification of Construction Machinery

• We are improving the performance of hydraulic equipment suitable for electrified construction equipment driven by electric motors.

Efficiency Improvement of Hydraulic Equipment for Construction Machinery

• We conduct experiments and simulations to investigate the lubrication conditions of sliding parts of hydraulic equipment in order to improve the efficiency of hydraulic equipment.

Prolong Lifetime of Sliding Surfaces

• We are studying the prolong lifetime of sliding surfaces, focusing on the blending of sliding surfaces and the formation of tribo-films.
