We developed a temperature measurement method that combines the scattered light intensity of thermochromic liquid crystals with machine learning, aiming to measure the surface temperature distribution of moving objects with gear-like surfaces covered by an oil film. The results demonstrated that high-accuracy temperature measurement is possible regardless of the oil film thickness on the surface.

We will apply the result to improving the accuracy of experiments during the development of construction machinery components.
