Dr. Kawakita of Komatsu Ltd. received Award for Young Tribogists from Japanese Society of Tribologists (JAST). The award ceremony was held on May 27 during the general meeting of JAST.

The awarded research was conducted during Dr. Kawakita’s assignment at Komatsu Collaborative Research Cluster for Innovative Technologies, and focused on  “Measurement of Oil Film Thickness Distribution between Slipper and Swash Plate in Swash Plate Axial Piston Pumps.”
